"Do you believe in monsters?"

Considering From is a horror set in an isolated American town plagued by monsters and other supernatural phenomena, it's a given that there were always going to some truly nightmarish moments.

    Season 1
  • The first fifteen minutes of the show perfectly set the tone for what is yet to come. The pre-credits sequence has one of the creatures trick a young girl into opening a window, whereupon it immediately attacks her and her mother. Come morning, we find they've both been completely ripped apart and disemboweled by the monster. Happy viewing.
  • The creatures that roam the town and forest at night. They look human but everything about them, how they walk, move, and smile has an artificial-ness about it that is incredibly unnerving. They also seem impervious to any kind of physical harm, and are shown to be incredibly strong. And when the time comes for them to kill, they drop their human facade and reveal their monstrous visage in all it's horrific glory. You can see it for yourself above.
    • They are also sadistic as hell, and like to drag out their kills for as long as possible, as Donna horrifically details to Tabitha when telling her how her sister was killed.
Donna: Those things like to hunt… they like to play.
    • Their bloodcurdling shrieks don't help matters, and only serve as a dark herald of what is coming. When you hear them screeching, it's a sure sign that you need to be indoors with a talisman immediately.
    • They're also incredibly cunning manipulators, and not just towards children. One of them manages to convince a man named Kevin that she's fallen in love with him, and manipulates him into letting her inside the colony house. The moment she's in the room, she kills him and reopens the window to allow the other creatures indoors, resulting in an attack that leaves several people dead.
  • The Reveal of what happened to Boyd's late wife Abby is both this and a tearjerker. After several weeks of being in the town and slowly losing her sanity, Abby finally snaps and becomes convinced that the place they're trapped is one big shared nightmare, and goes on a massive shooting spree to 'wake everyone up'. Boyd's return from surviving a night in the woods only makes her more convinced of this, and is fully prepared to kill her own son before Boyd intervenes and guns her down. In a world as horrific as the one the heroes find themselves trapped in, Abby's fate ends up being among the most terrible, as it's something that could happen to anyone in the real world. The worst part is she fully believed that by murdering several people, she would be saving them and setting them free, and therefore is every bit a victim of the town's influence as the people she killed.
  • A flashback to Boyd and Ellis's first night in the town shows just how the townsfolk survived before they found the talismans: they were forced to hide in underground bunkers and crawl spaces all night, hoping and praying that the creatures didn't find them. As they hide, they can hear the screams of the people caught outside as they're mauled and eaten, powerless to do anything to help them.
