Velocity to Never Exceed is a Wattpad novel by Rachel Reiss.

This book provides examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: In the end, the plane crash is averted. But Evelin and Rion still have to go home to face the things they are afraid to face on the other side, and by the end, both have developed what is likely a life-long fear of planes. On top of that, Evelin admits to feeling bittersweet about never being able to meet the plane's other passengers again and that they won't remember her.
  • Fake Faint: In every time loop when Janelle collapses, she was faking it to divert attention from the front of the plane.
  • "Groundhog Day" Loop: This is the main plot of the story. Evelin is stuck in a 28-minute long loop that always ends in a plane crash.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Rion decides to enter the cockpit and try to take down Alex, knowing he might have a gun and he will likely get killed.
  • I Just Knew: Evelin and Rion both "just know" that they can't stop the loop by letting the drug-dealers get away with their plan.
  • She Knows Too Much: Heather is murdered when she discovers drugs are being trafficked on the plane.
  • We Need a Distraction: Turns out, the crying baby could be helpful after all...
