Heartwarming / X-Factor (2020)

• Issue 5 is a big one all around, especially for New X-men:
  • Despite losing Rockslide for good, the Academy X-students make the best of a bad situation, welcoming the new Rockslide to the fold with Eye Boy hugging him and introducing him. Polaris later sits with him when he's alone, seemingly taking him under her wing.
  • Wind Dancer is resurrected and welcomed back by Hellion and her New Mutants squad teammates (Wallflower included) with all of them being overjoyed to see her.
  • During Wind Dancer's welcome home party, we see that several previously de-powered and/or killed mutants (the aforementioned Wallflower, D.J., Spector, Network, Rubbermaid, Quill, Dryad, Onyxx, Loa, and Tag) are all seen to be resurrected and enjoying life with their fellow students on Krakoa.
  • Just the vibe of the students enjoying their time together at the Boneyard party. Hellion and Surge are seen playing games together, Mercury and Bling kissing. Rivalries are behind them. After everything they've been through together, they get to live and not just survive.
  • Dani Moonstar comforting Emma Frost about Santo's death. Dani tells Emma that her strength is that she continues to care which is why it still hits her this hard but also why she continues to try to help young mutants.
  • Northstar and Aurora's moment at the end. Aurora's worried about the touching because their deadly upgrade is still in play but Northstar assures her that it is gone and they put on their light show for everyone in the issue to enjoy.
• Issue 7 is this for Daken, who gets together with Aurora, and even admits he missed her while he was away on a mission.
