Heartwarming / Superman's Pal: Jimmy Olsen (2019)

• Superman brings Jimmy on a stakeout he and Batman had planned because Jimmy has been covering the Toy War for the Daily Planet. Jimmy, who is a celebrity himself and used to the unusual, starts stumbling over his words upon actually meeting Batman. Superman smiles as he tells him to breathe out and focus on one word at a time. When Batman gets in his face about bringing a civilian along, Superman politely but immediately stands up for Jimmy, saying that he's courageous, clever, and an amazing photojournalist.
• At one point, Superman and Jimmy are hanging out on the Daily Planet's roof when Superman hears something to take care of elsewhere, causing a temporary disappearance. Jimmy tells him not to apologize, as it's not like most of his things are very important. With a smile, Supes fondly tells him that some days, he doesn't have any fun except for these light, silly moments with his Muggle Best Friend. It also offers an explanation to people who wonder what the Man of Tomorrow sees in a non-superhero, civilian teenager: Jimmy fulfills Superman's desire to be normal.
