• The last concert the band performed in the UK was in Huddersfield at a benefit gig for the children of striking firefighters. They also put on a Christmas party for the kids. Archive footage exists of the band interacting with the kids and just having fun in general, ending with Johnny playing Santa Claus for the kids. This coming from the most infamous band in the country at the time and whom most people thought were corrupting Britain's youth.
  • The story also exists of Johnny prior to the show lecturing Sid on proper behavior around kids, knowing that Sid's usual rough edges wouldn't be appropriate with their young audience.
