Somewhere between this and CMoF is the end of season 8, a very rare case of a Running Gag getting an official sendoff - one early story was about a man outsourcing part of his job to someone in China online, prompting Russell to replace himself with an Asian man every now and then. Then, after a story about "the happiest day in Britain", Russell and the Asian man spend a whole day goofing off together before they bid farewell.

One of the kids' talk sessions was on the subject of celebrities, and two kids from Singapore were completely unfamiliar with Ant and Dec.note While their PJ and Duncan album did reach Singapore, it was from before the kids' time, and Britain's Got Talent never quite spread that far until the massive Colbert Bump from Susan Boyle. Russell was at first jokingly describing Ant and Dec as "two little guys", which immediately drew a Squee from the girl, and from then on he was a bit torn between setting her straight or going full slippery-slope and leading her on into thinking Ant and Dec were English Pokemons.
