  • The ending to the first flashback arc: Jason makes a speech at the graves of his family, fully committing himself to being a full-fledged hero again.
"Hey. It's been a while. I'm sorry about that — something came up. Cass and I got into a spot of trouble, but we're okay now. (swallow) I almost killed someone again. A couple days ago, in fact. I thought it would've solved our problem, and maybe it would have. I don't know. I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Cass stopped me. She said you wouldn't have approved."
    (breath)
"Look. I know that all of us didn't agree on everything. Especially about…about that. And the truth is, the reason why is because I'm jaded. So, so jaded. My childhood, my death, all of it makes it harder for me to see the good. I know that it's there, and I find it, but—well, it never gleamed for me the same way it did for you."
"I was jealous of you for that. All of you. The world seemed so much brighter to you than it did to me. More than once, I wished I could see what you could. Other times, I wished you saw things my way, if only to prove I was right. Sometimes I was. Sometimes I wasn't. Maybe we were all right in the end, or all wrong. We'll never know the answer."
"There's a couple of things I do know, though. One is that I love you all. And if that there's one thing I'm scared of, it's that I didn't say it nearly enough. The other is that I want to save this city. Like you did, the way you did. And I'm not sure if I can, if I can be good like you were, if I can believe like you did. I just know that I love you too much not to try. And I swear, I'll keep trying until the day I die. I just hope that it'll be enough."
    • After the speech, Cass comes up from behind Jason, takes his hand, and tells him it will be enough. That their family will save Gotham — through them. Jason smiles, and agrees.
  • Jason reuniting with Dick, the older brother he lost several decades ago. But this Dick isn't the embittered, tired vigilante who probably enacted a Taking You with Me gambit because the cowl weighted too much on him — this is the playful, loving, sunshine-like big brother, and Jason missed him so, so much.
  • Clark accepts to arrange a playdate between his son Jon and Damian as he can see Jon feels lonely since his powers activated. It starts rather roughly, but at the end of the day, the boys have decided the other isn't that much of a twit after all.
  • The interactions between Tim and Steph throughout the story, teasing a growing attraction between the two, and culminating into a Big Damn Kiss, though bittersweet under the circumstances.
  • Jason's Near-Death Experience, mixed with Tear Jerker. We see him interacting all the loved ones he lost in his first life, and finally making peace with all of them.
