Act 1: Video Kid

     Prologue
  • Chloe reaches out to Mallow, emailing her condolences about Tuba's fate and offering to share her stories about the train car.
  • The car that the Red Lotus Quarto are in allows them to reach out to their loved ones on the train.
    • Atticus and Aloysius finally speaking to each other, relieved that the other is okay.
    • Lexi having a playful conversation about fangirls with his father.
    • Randall is happy to hear about Chloe's return home and how he gifted her Cheshire in the first place.
    • Hazel is thrilled to explore the train and see everything there is to see, feeling that Tuba will always be watching over her.
  • Chloe delivering her promise to give Dragonite a huge hug when she came back, much to its surprise.
  • Ash and Chloe reassure each other, with Chloe taking Ash up on his offer to train Yamper a little more.
  • Tomie standing up for Chloe in the flashback, and taking good care of Mew in the present.
  • Chloe reaffirms her promise to stay off the train while Amelia swears to protect Goh once they find him.

    The Tapper's Car
  • Akemi, Mr. Bradbury, and Miss April all help the Cerise family leave Vermillion with fond farewells. Bradbury even gives Cerise an overdue apology for all his arrogance.
  • After the harsh speech is finished, Chloe and Parker manage to enjoy a mutual story session like they used to.
  • It's clear that Parker has made a decent home for himself in the Calla House, as he's the first person a fellow patient runs to in order to help Twitchy and is the only one to who Twitchy gives his Helix (Omanyte) plush to.
  • Despite everything Parker did, he wants to help Ash out and tells his sister to take care of him.

     The Parasol Car
  • Alain, Hop, and Paul's loved ones manage to finally reach out and reassure them that they still care for them.

     The Canals of Fondue Car
  • Atticus assures Goh that Chloe not only understands his situation with Mew, she's also proud of him.
  • Ash and Chloe reassure Goh during their facetime call.
  • Chloe's interactions with Eevee are adorable and Eevee decides to play the White Rabbit with Chloe chasing her.
  • In a Friendly Enemy way, Team Rocket sees the fights with Ash and his new companions as a rite of passage and are sadly disappointed when Chloe and Yamper are unable to send them blasting off again right away.
    • Once they do blast off, Chloe happily hugs her newly evolved Boltund and is absolutely happy to have an Eevee for a partner.
  • While their interactions are brief, Ignis manages to be a good friend to Goh, saving his life from Ogami and sending him off with a fond farewell and gifts for his journey.
  • Tomie manages to give Goh the advice he needs the most - that he is allowed to have fun when he can on the train.

    Return to the Corgi Car
  • Yeardley's scene is surprisingly hopeful, with his mother and little sister comforting him about how he managed to be a hero in his own way.
  • Chloe dreams about not only seeing her train friends in Azada for an Unbirthday again, but a happy Goh, Eevee, and Tuba with them.
  • Chloe gives Boltund and Eevee some new accessories: Boltund gets a red handkerchief and Eevee gets a headchain.
  • Atticus formally pardons Amelia and defends her against the upstart Oliver.
  • Chloe getting ready for the camping trip and looking confident about what lies ahead.
  • Gladion gets a message from Paul London and Specter — despite one on the Train and the other in another world — about their story being told. He then goes on to call Tokio to reassure him that things are going to be all right. Tokio also states that he'll call Chloe and Goh when he's ready.
  • Goh gets a sorely-needed Licked by the Dog moment with the puppies "Cuddle Therapy", getting some positive encouragement and praise for a change. This leads to him finally getting the sleep he needs.
  • Oliver conceding the crown to Atticus, who vows to amend his mistakes by Coriginia and bids fond farewell to his fellows.

     The Clay Car
  • Upon learning about what happened with the forest fire, Professor Cerise immediately hugs his daughter. Given that Chloe actually died about a week ago, it makes sense.
  • Wallace helps Paul with his problems and puts in perspective the reason he loves making his devices: he doesn't want awards or recognition, he just loves to create.

     The Music Car
  • Hazel sings "Lobster Quadrille" because it reminds her of a happy memory where she and Grace danced to it. But then it becomes saddening when Hazel learned that the song came from a story where a girl chased a white rabbit...and Knight of the Orange Lily readers remember that Grace murdered a rabbit...
  • Goh gets another badly needed bone with the introduction of his new Denizen partner. When he manages to open up about his messy feelings, Warbler doesn't pass judgment or tell him he's wrong, she just listens and assures him that his feelings are completely valid. And when Goh gets up on stage to sing and almost sees Zeno again, Warbler hums away his worst fears and lets him perform.

Anticipation / The Grand Cineplex Car
  • After Carl is arrested, Chloe tells Delia that she will never see her parents as cruel or mean ever again. Delia even suggests telling them this at her restaurant, showing that the Pallet town mother is opening up a little.
  • Miss Fisher and her daughter Jane, who is the Chloe in the Blossoming Trail movie, are very friendly people who get along with Amelia quite well. Miss Fisher even helps Amelia to understand how she now has the responsibility to be a mother figure for Hazel now that Tuba is gone.

     The Deep Jungle Car

Illusion

  • Delia and Chloe bury the hatchet with their animosity, with Chloe thanking Delia for her help in beginning Kris' mental recovery, and Delia allowing Chloe to use her restaurant to cook a meal for her family and wishing the best of luck for Chloe's future.
  • At the dinner, Chloe gives one more apology to her parents for how mean she was and hugs them. Aldrich then brings up that Shantal is willing to help publish her short stories and Talia agrees to make artwork for it. Instead of getting annoyed at Talia's chibis, Chloe decides to embrace it and can't wait to see what comes out.
  • Jane is absolutely excited to be talking to the real Chloe and how it's an honor to have a conversation with the legendary Chloe of the Vermillion.

Disguise

  • Chloe makes a farewell dinner for her former classmates and advises them to always call their parents to love them and to keep their phones on them.
    • She later goes to Calla House to hand Parker a Pecha tart before her trip to the Alola region along with Kris crying in relief that his father will never harm him again.
    Kris: PRAISE HELIX!!!
  • Goh states that the new name for his "character" in the Blossoming Trail movies will be "Zeno", as a bittersweet tribute to the nightmare construct.

    Intermission

Intermission: Gravity / Breakaway

  • This entire chapter is full of this with reaffirmations of everyone involved is doing fine.
    • In Den City, Specter is explaining his story to the Knights of Hanoi before he hears screaming in his room...and immediately races there to make sure Earth is safe with implications that Yusaku and Ai were able to revive the Ignis. Ryoken even notes that the train experience really changed Specter.
    • The message turned out to be Easter and London making a video to see if Specter is doing fine. Even Specter feels a little ashamed when he accidentally calls Easter some massive blue blur — because denizens can't be seen via screen — and calmly asks what they wanted to say.
    • Tokio being told by London that what happened with Kisaragi was never his fault and telling his mother that he'll be fine with Gladion's family in Alola.
    • Chloe getting excited to visit the Alola region with Boltund and Eevee, with Professor Kukui happy to see Ash again.

Act 2: Awakening

     The Dark Parable Car
  • In stark contrast to his previous self, Paul vows to care for his now-vulnerable Electrivire before he even considers leaving the car.
  • Ash's reunion with Burnet and Kukui, and meeting his 'little brother' for the first time.
  • After Chloe has a brief bout of self-doubt and guilt, Ash comforts and reassures her.
  • All three of the 'trainer trio' get to vent their problems out, and everyone is clearly comforting and supporting each other.
  • Serena points out that for all that Trip did wrong with Goh, his Brutal Honesty did some good to get everyone else to take a good look at themselves and figure out what to do to help Chloe from now on. She even helps him dress up like Ash to help him understand that he doesn't have to do grand gestures to prove his love for Ash.

     Liquid Voice/The Comm-Switch Car
  • Lexi and Titus' father-son talk, with Titus convinces his son to let go of his anger and move forward. And Lexi listens, giving life to the book Simon wrote.
  • In sharp contrast to every other father figure Goh's dealt with, Titus is nothing but supportive, understanding, and helpful.
  • Raboot finally opens up to Goh thanks to Warbler's encouragement, supplanting the memories of Zeno's callout with a promise to never leave Goh behind and be strong for him.

     The Hazbin Car
  • Chloe getting the encouragement she needs to resume battling with the Alola classmates and beginning to start getting into battling.
  • Goh standing up to Kisaragi in Tokio's name.
    • It's brief but Kisaragi really cared for Tokio and is happy to hear him safe and sound. It makes you wonder what would've happened if Grace didn't come murder Utahoshi.
  • The two Apex members give what tribute they can to Grace, building a small memorial to their former leader and discussing some of their better memories with her.
    • Lexi finally letting go of his anger at Grace by leaving a tribute at her small memorial and recreating himself into something new to face the future.

     The Bake-o-Life Car
  • Sara's foster mom reassures her that she knows how to get out of the pit she's in, and that she'll offer her the support she needs.
  • Goh is a surprisingly sweet Good Cop to Tiffany, giving her the understanding and assurance she needs to hear.
  • Lexi finds a way to start making amends with Goh and his Pokémon by helping them train for a fight.
  • To prove that this isn't a fluke, the first thing Specter does when he gets to his Fog Car experience is call London and demand answers as to where Tiffany — the one who stole Lampetia's heart — is. The two finally get to have a proper farewell, as awkward as it is for Specter, and Lampetia gets a chance to finally see her denizen partner alive and healthy.

     The Pirate Car
  • Gladion calls out Tokio over the way his promise with Goh emotionally manipulated the latter. Keep in mind that Gladion and Goh never met before; any info he could've gotten about him would come from Tokio, whose mind would be warped from his experiences on the Train. And yet, instead of repeating Trip's mistake and seeing Tokio's side of the story only, he calls out Goh's supposed "best friend" for putting said best friend's life in danger just for personal catharsis.
  • Everyone's pleased reaction to hearing that the better parts of the old Goh might be coming back.
    • Really, just the fact that when Goh tells everyone about the defeat of the sea monster, he doesn't get diminished or belittled as he's so used to: instead, everybody's proud of him and congratulating him, telling him he did a good job. After being treated like the worst and seen as wrong by everyone around him, this was a long time coming.

     The Mediterranean Car
  • Ashachu's interactions with his Pokémon, clearly enjoying his hug from Dragonite despite himself.
  • There's something sweet about Hazel and Goh's interactions before they find the secret room.
  • Chloe's loss goes much better than her very first Pokémon battle, with Serena assuring her that she did great.
  • Part of the reason Goh disconnects his phone is to keep Chloe safe from Vox's plans.

The Fall of the 400 Rabbits Car

Intermission, Part 2: You've Got Mail!
  • Even though Lexi is still freshly angry from learning Warbler's true identity, he's much better at controlling his temper around Goh when he asks Warbler to be with him while he writes his letter to everyone in the Pokémon world about his status, and the current status of the Train.

Act 3: Resurrected

    The Maccadams Car

    The Kaiju Car
  • Goh's support of Cinderace throughout the fight make it clear that he's still partners with his Pokémon.

    The Train Museum Car
  • Samantha reminisces about happier times with Simon.

     The Omelas Car
  • Paul, Hop, and Alain all volunteer to release Kenny from his situation.
  • Samantha gets another bone by being able to teach the children to play poker in peace.
  • Titus frees Kenny from his guilt and offers to let him stay in Azada to recover.
    • Waspinator of all passengers actually helps Kenny out of his funk by stating that Kenny has a chance to go home, but the Decepticon will probably be on it even when humanity is wiped out.
  • Paul and Hop give Alain their blessing to leave the train, and Alain returns to the Sycamore Lab.

     The Desert Racetrack Car
  • Chloe's catch of Porygon is a completely selfless one; while she bonded with Eevee and caught a Ponyta to add to her Pokémon team, she catches a Porygon for Goh.

     Memory Lane
  • Goh and Hazel defend Guide-Grace when Amelia tries to call her out for what the late Grace did. Keep in mind that in Grace's final moments, nobody stood by her side: the Apex disbanded, the Denizens wanted nothing to do with her, and the Train kept kicking her in the teeth regarding her crimes. To have a pair of Passengers actually come to her aid, one of them being a Denizen that she grew close to, can bring a smile to someone's face.

     The Darkest Day
  • Chloe actually apologizing to Goh for everything she did to him and asking him for forgiveness. Given how she absolutely refused to accept responsibility in Blossoming Trail, and it danced around the issue for the first two Acts, it's a clear proof that Chloe's change is genuine.
    • Likewise, Goh actually forgiving Chloe, officially starting to take steps to work on mending their friendship.
  • While primarily awesome, seeing Goh and Chloe work together to beat up Ogami can give warm feelings after everything they've been through.
  • Oleanda getting to have one last talk with her sister, Romsca, and help with the final battle.

     The Roaring Twenties Car
  • Goh getting apologies from Atticus and Lexi about Chloe's behavior and their enabling of it, and him forgiving them to finally put a full-stop to the series-long "sinners and saints game".
  • Goh finally unwraps his hand to check on his number, expecting it to still be large... and sees that it's decreased to single digits. In fact, he doesn't have to do any more grand gestures to get it to zero, just participate in a few more light-hearted moments (specially the below-mentioned celebration party) and say his goodbyes to the people he befriended on the Train.
  • After Chloe realizes that she won't be able to contact anyone on the train anymore since her phone was destroyed, Ash cheers her up by explaining that even if they don't see each other again, friends can stay friends.
  • Goh ending his stay on the Train with a party thrown in his honor, as the one who defeated the Unsub.
  • Goh's reunion with his family and Mew, and he can finally be happy with the reminder that, technically, he managed to achieve his wildest dream.

     Epilogue
  • It's revealed Hop and Paul finally got off the train.
    • In particular, Paul meets Sean's reincarnation and it finally allows him to forgive himself for his death.
