  • Kuromi spends an entire episode looking for a specific kids-meal toy, and even enlists the aid of Hello Kitty and My Melody to find it. When she does finally acquire one, she gifts it to My Melody, as she knows My Melody broke her own in an accident the year before.
  • When Hello Kitty sees a storm cloud over Kuromi's head, she gifts her a donut and a milk . Kuromi is touched, saying, "Look at you, brightening my day." The storm cloud thunders, then disappears, raining a large pile of candy on the counter, to which Kuromi says to Hello Kitty, "My gift to you."
  • When My Melody gets stressed because Pompompurin is making a mess with his tacos, Kuromi gently tells her it's okay to set boundaries with your friends, and that it's actually a good thing to do, because it makes people better friends. A far cry from their relationship in Onegai My Melody.
  • Kuromi sneaks to the bookstore to purchase a sappy sweet romance novel, but all of her friends went to the store to buy it too. After finally admitting what she was there to buy, and saying she was afraid that it would ruin her "tough as nails" reputation, the others assure her that it's not so. It's just another part of her that makes her who she is.
  • "Kuromi's K-Pop Drop pt. 1" has My Melody and Hello Kitty go to Kuromi's house to check up on her, because they haven't seen her in days. They hear a scream from outside, and My Melody unhesitatingly bursts in shouting, "No one hurts my Kuromi!" (Thankfully, it was a scream of delight, as Kuromi was streaming videos by a band called K-Dream).
  • Kuromi informs her friends that cell phones won't work in the "Terrible Tropic Triangle". Hello Kitty quickly discovers she's right. But My Melody brought an instant film camera and when Kuromi laments not being able to document the experience, My Melody presents her with a snapshot of the swirling vortex.
  • "My Melody's Bad Day" has My Melody wake up in a bad mood, and her friends spend the whole day trying to lift her mood, with Kuromi offering a donut, much like Hello Kitty did for her, and everyone reassuring My Melody that just because her mood was low, it didn't mean they weren't friends.
  • When the girls find a plushie in the woods, they bring it home to clean it and find its owner. The owner turns out to be a Yeti girl. A super-shy Yeti girl who tucks herself in her sweater when she sees the group. Kuromi speaks softly and gently to her, saying that while people can seem scary at first, it's just your mind playing tricks on you.
