• Hooty bursts into grateful tears when Harry calls him "sir".
• In a flashback, when Lilith hears that James has been rendered sterile from a curse, she tells him about a Boiling Isles spell that allows for conception in circumstances when it's normally impossible, and inadvertently fills the conditions with him, leading to Harry.
• The Owl Beast nuzzling Harry like he's her chick, and later grooming Ron.
• Harry, Ron, Luz, and King goofing off coming up with funny ways to describe normal objects.
