• Romana's protectiveness of Leela is beautiful.
  Leela: I could not go back to the place I came from.
  Romana: *warmly* Well, but you're a special case, Leela.
  Narvin: Why is that, exactly?
  Romana: Because I say it is.
• Leela is not terribly good at undercover operations, but only gives herself away in the first episode when she defends Romana against the implication that she doesn't care about civilians or innocent bystanders.
• Romana is determined to teach K-9 about Mozart and beauty, and suggests taking him to Saltzburg.
• K-9 and Leela's relationship is very close and sweet, and he's apparently visibly heartbroken when she orders him to go away.
  Leela: ...K-9, don't look at me like that!
• Braxiatel has this around Romana almost all the time... in his own way.
• Romana giving Leela a place to feel useful and at home after Andred's disappearance clearly means the world to her. Her lighthearted teasing of K-9 mark I is this mixed with CMOF.
  Leela: ...But I cannot be without K-9. What is his position?
  Romana: Well, I suppose I could always appoint a... security advisor?
  K-9: *happily* Mistress!
  Romana: *casually* How dare you. Call me Madame President, and get used to it.
• Romana's declaration that Leela is her best friend.
