- Paul and Mary settling down for the night in their twin beds, with Paul hugging a giant stuffed wine bottle and Mary clutching a pile of miniature stuffed animals to her chest, then blowing each other kisses is oddly sweet.
- While Word of God is that Paul and Mary are a sexless couple, that clearly doesn't mean they're a loveless couple; when Raoul finally forces Mary to choose who's going to be the hypotenuse in a Murder the Hypotenuse moment, it's no contest at all. They're Happily Married, all right, odd as that may be.
