Heartwarming / Dust and Echoes

• A young Ruby declaring that if aliens are out there, she wants to become friends. Even as a prepubescent girl, she's already her cheery, sweet self.
• Qrow putting his nieces to bed and telling them a story about how mankind unlocked the power of Aura to protect themselves. It's unexpectedly tender for the usually rough Huntsman.
• When given the choice between imperiling themselves to rescue several villages assieged by the Grimm or saving their lives for the low price of civilian casualties, every scouting team sent by the UNSC Everest but one decides to intervene. Because a marine is there to serve and protect, no matter where they find people needing it.
• As a consequence of the above, Ozpin's wonder and awe when he learns about it and understands the scary aliens aren't there to be violent. They could have invaded Remnant, they could have stood there and watched, but they chose to help instead.
  • After the official first contact at Amity Stadium, the sheer excitment and marvel spreading everywhere on the planet: Aliens are real, and they've just talked with them, and maybe they will get to be friends.
• The reactions of the UNSC personnel as they learn about Huntsmen/Huntresses, Aura and Semblences. Many of them are struck dumb with the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there's a reason to hope for a turnaround in the Hopeless War that is the war against the Covenant.
• Little Yang telling Sergeant Johnson he has better to bring her uncle Qrow back home. The soldier jokingly assures her he will do.
• Following first Eridanus II and then Khembalung, the arrival to Vyraj is a welcome break for the Huntsmen teams, allowing them their first true taste of Earth culture. Qrow most of all goes souvenir shopping for Ruby and Yang, and touring the city of Novaya Moskva, alongside Johnson and a few Huntsmen/Huntresses from Vale.
• For a moment, the Huntsmen teams, and Johnson are able to all just sit down, and enjoy a drink at a local bar in Novaya Moskva. Despite everything before and everything to come, Qrow is able to enjoy the temporary respite and the happy atmosphere, as do everyone else in the meantime.
• Sienna being surprised by the UNSC troops assisting her and even cheering for her when they see her in action during the Battle for Peponi after enduring discrimination from Remnant humans.
