  • Pichu and Mewtwo's relationship period. The two of them often spar to improve each other's abilities and they both love watching other battles as well.
  • In episode 4, Pikachu, who has no ill will towards Mewtwo for what happened in the previous episode, offers to train Mewtwo so that the latter can use Shadow Ball without being reminded of the fact that it was that very move that killed Pichu.
    • At the end of the episode, Pikachu congratulates Mewtwo for defeating Falco, leading to this exchange:
    Mewtwo: Pikachu, I...
Pikachu: Don't even mention it. Like I told you when we started, I'd do anything to help an old friend. Congrats on the win, Mewtwo.
Mewtwo: Say, now, if you're ever free, would you-
Pikachu: -like to spar again? It would be my pleasure. But for now, we should celebrate your win. You got a taste for Tamato berries?
Mewtwo: Can't say that I've tried them.
Pikachu: Oh, you're in for a treat then. I make a mean Tamato curry. Used to be Pichu's favorite dinner. I just hope you have a taste for spicy foods.
    • The credits sequence of episode 4 is nothing short of adorable:
      • Mewtwo having his first taste of Tamato curry. Cue Fire-Breathing Diner.
      • Mewtwo supporting Pikachu during his fight against Captain Falcon.
      • The duo watching a video about Pichu's birth.
      • Another sparring match between the two.
      • This all culminates with Mewtwo saying goodbye to Pikachu.
  • Fox listening to Falco's messages while residing in Final Destination. It shows that even though Fox has performed some quite heinous actions, he still misses Falco, and seemingly wishes he didn't do any of the stuff that he did, if the sigh he lets out once he's finished listening to them is any indication.
  • Mario healing Mewtwo in the final episode.
  • The finale has Fox assisting Mewtwo in their fight against Razanak.
  • The final scene of the series has Mewtwo speaking to the spirits of Pichu and Fox.
Mewtwo: Pichu, we always strove for greatness, you and I. And I think I've finally honored your last wishes. I kept fighting, I rarely lost faith in my abilities, and because of that, I've not only become a more powerful fighter, I've finally avenged you. Fox, I'm sorry we couldn't have helped you sooner. Your story will be remembered as a tragic one. One of selfishness and sorrow, but you've also been avenged to a degree. I hope that your legacy will inspire all fighters, now and in the future, to avoid succumbing to bitterness and hatred. And to work together toward reaching the same heights you once did.
(The spirits of Fox and Pichu appear behind Mewtwo before fading away)
