  • In the first Uber Special, specifically during Sieglinde's story, was the crazed tank class that she had to kill her husband? It looked like him, and her monologue implied that she killed her husband, but I don't remember her outright stating he was the same person. If anyone has any answers, I'd be forever grateful.
    • No, the tank-class she killed was just a random prisoner. The officer who told Sieglinde to fight him said he was an "untermensch" (i.e. non-German). Also, he was clearly able to speak and move, whereas her husband was mute and crippled. She said that she killed her husband because she blames herself for leaving him in Dresden (where he died in the bombings). Hope that helps.
    • Ah, that clears things up. Thanks, dude!
  • Exactly who is in charge of the US after the death of Truman, and, presumably, most of his cabinet? Seems like a rather important detail that hasn't been covered.
  • Is any explanation ever given of why the über can only eat their special grub?
    • It’s explained as a super high glucose paste, presumably similar to what distance runners eat sparingly during marathons. The implication is their metabolism is so sped up they can’t process normal food.
  • So, where are Germans getting all their toys in the Invasion? Or basically at any time. Germany as a state had pretty much ceased to exists and had nothing to give. No reserves, no stockpiles, yet Germany seems to have suddenly found tons of food, manpower and fuel to keep their war machine going on and on without any trouble, even launching invasion of Britain. There is nothing left to plunder in Europe either, Germans had already plundered everything that there was, so they can't be surviving on that either. So where are they getting all their troops and toys?
    • If I recall correctly, the strike they made with the Ubers early on allowed them to reclaim some oil fields, so that's the fuel issue temporarily solved. Basically, the only thing allowing the Nazis to keep going is their Ubers - they have almost no conventional military left.
    • Essentially this. Despite forcing the UK to fork over stuff after they capitulate, the Nazi military is essentially down to Uber units, some subs, and enough mundane support personnel to support the Ubers. Battleship-class Ubers and the sheer devastation the tank-class were capable of against mundane troops were enough of a threat to keep this setup viable...for a time.
  • Do they ever explain why only some people are Uber potentials and some aren’t? Do they share a common ancestor?
    • No , in the series no corresponding factor was ever found. Which is way so many volunteers died during the testing stage. Basically, they tested them for compatibility and either you were or you died horribly. However they had no other way to find Uber potentials and desperation and limited time lead to the method used.
