• Why don't Usato and Suzune want to go back to Earth? Were their home lives really crappy?
  • Chapter 7 of the manga offers some insight to this. This may have been the case of Suzune as she outright states that she had no particular attachments to her previous life. She also hints that she felt chained and burdened by keeping up the facade of her perfect self on Earth. However, Usato has more conflicting feelings. He describes himself as both wanting to go back to Earth and content with stayng in the world he's summoned. He's worried for his friends and family but he also admires how he's been forced to change from his ever stagnant life since arriving and as such he is fine with not returning.
