• In "Bullies", when interviewing a TEPCO representative about Fukushima Daiichi, Sloan reveals to the "interpreter" that she speaks fluent Japanese and recognizes that the purported translation is not what the TEPCO rep actually said, and starts speaking directly to the representative in Japanese, eventually divulging things he had said to her off-the-record over the phone, which is a serious breach of journalistic ethics. Why did she do that immediately instead of giving them an ultimatum in Japanese warning that she was seriously considering doing it before she ACTUALLY did so, which could have given the TEPCO rep a chance to at least partly save face?
  • For that matter the whole conflict is predicated on no one but the translator and Sloan being able to speak Japanese. It's television with recorded footage and the translator lied on air. There's a dozen ways to expose the translator's lie, the simplest one being asking anyone else who speaks Japanese to watch the tape.
