Kong didn't grow in 20 years?
  • In episode 3, when they first see Kong, Charlie refers to him as "a 100 foot ape". That is the same size he was in Kong: Skull Island, set 20 years earlier. How come he hasn't grown in those 20 years even though by the time of Godzilla vs. Kong he has grown to the same size as Godzilla?
    • Charlie might just be bad at gauging heights and distances. He can’t tell exactly how tall Kong is without measuring him, so he lands on the first thing to say that means “really big”.
    • Also, any kaiju fan can tell you it's hard to grasp the scale of a monster even with an exact measurement provided- you can compare the kaiju to buildings with known heights, but even then, that's a rough estimate. For a character with the kaiju right in front of them (who also needs to worry about being squished or vaporized), it's likely even harder.

    The Islanders
  • While the Iwi make sparse largely antagonistic appearances, there flashback scenes in the final two episodes reveal there is — or at least was — a colony of non-Iwi people living on the island, including the Spanish-speaking woman who Kong befriended. However, the series gives no indication as to how they arrived on Skull Island or what became of them given they haven't appeared in any other entry in the franchise. It's clear they've been living on the island long enough to establish at least one successful fishing village, which raises the question of when they arrived on the island and what happened to them.
    • In the Skull Island movie, at one point you can see the wrecked remains of S.S. Wanderer, the same ship the crew took to Skull Island in the original 1933 film. The director claims this is meant to imply there have been events similar to that film at some point in the past. Make of this what you will.
    • In all likelihood, based on Kong's friend exclusively speaking Spanish, these other islanders could be descended from Spanish explorers or some such who also became shipwrecked on Skull Island but never escaped. That would also explain where the sword Charlie found in the bug hole came from.
