• What exactly is Alexander's beef with Carlo?
  • He's not a relative but a pet project of his wife that's costing him money and only contributing to the insanity that is the household. He's supposedly an "artist," but apart from playing the piano fairly well, he's a talentless buffoon that his wife is requiring him to support with free room and board. Since Alexander is the only one who actually realizes that money is not infinite and that the family is exceeding their means, the irritant that is Carlo is a constant reminder of how his family mindlessly fritters away money.

• How old are Irene and Cornelia supposed to be? They look like they're in their 20s but they sure don't act very mature for their age.
