    Hall
  • How did Axe manage to track down Hall, who ghosted him months ago?
  • Supposing the New Halls put them in touch (which is the likeliest answer), why on Earth would Hall come back to work for him when the whole reason he vanished was to save himself from the very situation Axe is now asking for help with?
    • Because now that he knows Chuck Rhoades is trying to blow up the case as well, he sees a way to get Axe out of it without putting himself at risk.

    The Chicken Play
  • I feel as though the central trade Axe Cap makes in "Chicken Play" doesn't actually make a lot of sense for Axe Cap's trading style and risk/reward profile. Unless I'm missing something, and the man who reports on the supply of chickens is new for this quarter or year, wouldn't the price already reflect that there is always a short supply of chicken stock already? Wouldn't the market already anticipate the nearly correct price based on historical estimates from the chicken man? Why would there be a lot of upside in sizing up a large position based on this knowledge? All they really know is that the information is actually incorrect. It seems it would be more realistic for their trading style if they used this inside information to create some sort of short play on the commodities market for chickens. Something along the lines of them riding up the price of the chicken commodity, and then getting someone to divulge the scandal and then shorting the market. That would be a Dollar Bill style trade.

    Ben
Exactly how naïve is Ben supposed to be after four years at Axe Cap? When Mafee barges in to the office to confront Wendy, Ben looks excited to see him and shouts, "Hi, Mafee!" Even if he is genuinely happy to see Mafee, this ought to be an Oh, Crap! moment: socializing with Mafee got Rudy fired a few episodes ago, and the sight of Mafee lunging out of the elevator can only mean trouble. But Ben is completely clueless for some reason.
