  • From what I've seen, almost every game mentioned has a real life counterpart. Thing is, I don't think I've heard of a game like Dumbidoom's Revenge. It seems like a fun game, so are there any out there that are like it?
    • It's described as being very Puyo Pop or Tetris Attack-esque. So something like Kirby's Avalanche or Pokemon Puzzle League would be pretty close.
    • It's most likely Tetris Attack/Puzzle League, due to the ability to add extra lines of blocks.
    • The monsters evolving into anime girls when fed might be a reference to Puzzle and Dragons.
  • PBG is said to be the best soccer player at school, but as far as his route goes, Asagao lost two games with him, and when he was injured, Asagao had a string of victories. Am I the only one who thinks it's weird?
    • Everyone has an off day. PBG was distracted by everything going on for a lot of his route, so he probably just wasn't able to focus on the game as much.
    • Also worth noting that they only lost one game, and he had a flub on the second one but they still won. I thought the implication was that he was a great director and leader for the team, but his actual skills playing the game weren't that much better (if at all) than the other players'. Losing one game is practically expected, and his flub was, as the above post mentions, probably just a result of an off day that spiraled into the stress and tiredness prevalent throughout his route. (Plus, the loss they had wasn't his fault; Dean passed to the wrong person.)
  • In PBG's Route his real name is revealed to be PeanutButterGamer, but later in the same route Jared calls him Austin. I'm aware that Austin is the name of the real-life PBG, but then why go through the trouble of having the in-game joke about his full name being PeanutButterGamer if they were just going to use his irl name anyway?
    • Pretty sure they corrected that in a patch.
  • Most events that you see happen in specific routes that are not directly caused by Hana are referenced in other routes (such as Jared's fashion show) with the exception of PBG injuring his leg and the entire club going to a convention which only seem to take place in PBG and Jirard's routes respectively.
    • Possible explanation for those: the events might still happen, Hana just isn't there for them and it doesn't come up in conversation. For Jirard's route, the club going to a convention makes sense as something that wouldn't come up; Hana only goes to the convention because Jirard invites her, which he does only because Hana is offering to help fill his IBK collection. It's reasonable to assume, no matter who you're dating besides Jirard, they don't invite her to come to the convention because they know she might not be comfortable there, and it's only a single weekend so she doesn't miss them too badly. For PBG, maybe blame the butterfly effect - his leg injury happened as some very indirect result of him reconciling with Hana, or it just straight-up never gets mentioned in other routes because Hana isn't particularly close to him in those.
    • Another huge exception might be the stealing of the Golden Boots. It's only brought up in Satch's route, but it should theoretically happen in every route since it wasn't caused by Hana. Assuming it does happen in every route, it's possible that Hana only hears about it in Satch's because that's the only route where Hana doesn't have an alibi. Still, considering how much Normal Boots worships the Golden Boots, it's odd they never mention it otherwise.
  • Why didn't they give Shane a nickname of sorts to help people know who he was, seeing as he's probably better known IRL for his show than his actual name? Everyone else in the Normal Boots Club is mentioned as having a nickname everyone calls them by that is exactly the same as the username they're known for in real life, except Paul, Nick, and Josh, but they're stated to write for "Continue?" which is the name of their real life show. While I understand giving Shane the nickname "Did You Know Gaming?" would be weird, why couldn't they say he'd written an article or book with that title, or something along those lines?
    • Possibly because, despite him running the site, he isn't the face of it like other Normal Boots members are for their channels.
      • They could have still mentioned it though. Said that he wasn’t the only person who wrote this book called “Did You Know Gaming?” you can find in the library, but the others who also wrote the book graduated at the end of last year. Satch or Mai could mention it during that first day (Mai could say “Shane knows so much about games he literally wrote the book on it with some other students, they called it “Did You Know Gaming?”, but everyone else graduated last year” and Satch could mention the library having the book when telling Hana about the library). Even Shane could mention it during one of the conversations you have with him, like his strategy rant. It’s just an odd thing to leave out. They don’t even have to had graduated, but are just mentioned in passing.
