While Deborah Logan's story is a decently unsettling Found Footage Film, it still has its moments.
- The crew members' Deadpan Snarker tendencies.
- During Deborah's nighttime episode, Gavin is at one brief moment shown awkwardly standing on top of the counter, frightened and unsure of what to do.Luis: Get down from there!
- Everyone decides to search for Deborah's spade to calm her out of her hysterics, and Luis is handed the keys to the attic. After opening the door, he flips the light switch only to find that it doesn't work. His response is an annoyed "Of course not."
- This whispered exchange while looking for Deborah in the middle of the night:Sarah: That door is never open... You go in first.Luis: What?Sarah: Yeah.Luis: You want the brown guy to go in first?
- "Damn, how many attics you people got?"
- Gavin pulls what might possibly be one of the smartest moves ever seen in horror cinema history and just bails around the fifty-two minute mark. His scathing "The Reason You Suck" Speech on the way out is the cherry on top.Luis: Can we just talk about this?Gavin: No! There's nothing to talk about! I'm fuckin' leaving is what I am.Mia: Wha- You start projects like this and you just bounce in the middle of it? If it's just about the window, I can-Gavin: IT'S NOT ABOUT THE WINDOW, OKAY?! That's just fuckin' icing on top of the shitty fuckin' cake! What about the switchboard, huh? What about the fuckin' window opening and closing-THE BITCH LEVITATED ONTO A COUNTER! The Gavin Train's pullin' out, bro. Last call, man.Luis: You need this paycheck as much as I do, man, please don't leave!Mia: Exactly, Luis knows how to be a team player!Gavin: Fuck. Both of you.
- During the search for Deborah and Cara through the underground tunnels, Sarah comes across a section with several black snakes slithering around. As she's crawling through, one of them lashes at her. Her response? To smack it at while shouting "Go fuck yourself!" and continuing on.
