• In the sequel, in the first part of the chapter A Carnival, Bandaid!, Nightmare Moon had accidentally aimed at the stallion sitting on a plank in the Dunking Booth, knocking him out and Bandaid had to put him in the medical tent. When he returned, he saw Nightmare on the plank, drawing in the crowd by telling them to try dunking her to the pool, until a stallion managed to do it.
• There's this gem in the chapter Breakfast of the Gods, Bandaid! in the sequel:
  Faust sighed, smiling patiently. She loved her children, she did, but they could be such handfuls when she made her appearances. Discord was still in time-out, what was Cadance up to these days? Her eyes flickered white while her children argued, her vision extending beyond the horizon.

  “Shining! Oh Gods! OH GODS! SHINING, YES! YES! HARDER!”

  Faust’s cheeks went hot and she quickly squeezed her eyes shut to bring herself back to the breakfast table. Arguing children was a better thing to see at the moment.
