• Soon-ja repeatedly calling David "Pretty boy!" until he snaps and says, "I'm not pretty! I'm good-looking!"
• David peeing onto a bowl and giving it to Soon-ja to drink. (she thinks it is Mountain Dew)
• Jacob wants to punish David for disrespecting Soon-ja by beating him with a stick. When he asks him to bring a stick, he first accidentally breaks one, then later when asked to go outside to pick one, brings a piece of grass instead. The icing on the cake is Soon-ja laughing despite what David did.
