• Finn trying to prove that the family's new house is haunted. He leaves a piece of wrapping paper in the space on the closed basement door.
  Finn: Look, if the ghost tries to get out out of the basement while we're gone, this wrapping paper will rip. Proof that the ghost is real.
  Alexis: Wouldn't real ghosts just float through the door?
  (beat)
  Finn: You're not helping!
• Alexis gets locked in the basement's secret room, so Finn goes to a hardware store to stock up on supplies. His bill comes to over $2,000, and the store won't accept checks without a valid ID. He then digs through his pockets for loose change. After asking what he can buy for $1.68, he leaves the store with a ball of string.
• Jessica getting hit with a stocking full of coal, sending her toppling over a reindeer decoration. After getting up, she looks toward the reindeer and asks, "What are you looking at?"
• Jessica getting stuck in the window. While Sinclair and Hughes try to free her, Finn shoots ping pong balls which hit her in the rear. Jessica, thinking that Sinclair and Hughes did it, kicks both of them.
• Alexis mentioning to her parents that she isn’t reading War and Peace when on the phone then getting locked in the safe with a copy of the book.
  Alexis: Really?
