Main Series

  • During Zartan's introduction in issue #25 of the original comic, we see Cobra Commander, Destro and the Baroness riding three abreast in the turret of the Water Moccasin. If you've ever owned any version of the WM, you'll know how impossible this is—sometimes it's hard to fit one figure in the turret, much less three side-by-side-by-side. To cap it off, Zartan then jumps over the WM on his skimmer. Good thing the Dreadnoks proved themselves to be a decent threat; their introduction wasn't impressive.
  • Major Bludd offending all of Cobra High Command with his absolutely atrocious poetry. It's doubly funny with how the Baroness gets extra-snobbish about it.
"Who thinks Prost rhymes with Faust?"
  • In issue #33, Ripcord rides along with a balloon selling bear in a high speed car chase throughout an amusement park. Only later does the bear remove their mask to reveal the very beautiful Candy Appel.
  • During the Cobra Civil War, Destro made landfall with his Iron Grenadier troops... And all he did during the war was lounge on the beach sipping tea, while his forces never engaged in combat. He still got what he wanted from the situation, namely, saving Baroness.

Spin Offs

  • The G.I. Joe yearbook issue where Serpentor and Mindbender are eating pizza made by the Dreadnoks.
  • Special Missions #24 had the female Joes undercover as cheerleaders... at a baseball game.
  • Panel 5 of ARAH #219 has a bath toy with a blue hood on it's head.
