  • Fridge Brilliance: To the movie's credit, the goblins always offering food to humans shows the writers did at least some research. In mythology, it would be wise never to accept food from any kind of fairy creature. The results from doing so range from being trapped in their domain, to becoming one of them, to, yes, being eaten.
  • Fridge Horror: That creepy shopkeeper that gives Drew a jug of Nilbog Milk? He wasn't acting. Don Packard, the actor playing the shopkeeper, had been spending time in an in-and-out mental hospital, and was picked out by Claudio Fragasso for the role. The documentary Best Worst Movie he talks about how he really had no idea what was going on at the time.
