Fridge / Star Trek Voyager S 4 E 19 The Omega Directive

Go To

  • Fridge Horror:
    • The moment the sensors detect the Omega shockwave, Voyager automatically drops out of warp with all sensors shut down, and the computer can only be accessed by the captain. It's a good thing they weren't under attack or stuck in a Negative Space Wedgie at the time. It's also a good thing that Janeway was on Voyager and not on some away mission — or, worse, dead. How would Chakotay carry out a directive he'd never heard of, especially if he couldn't even unlock the computer?
    • The Borg can't do any more Omega experiments because they never found another source of boronite ore. In this episode, Voyager finds plenty of the stuff in the hands of a pre-warp civilization. When the Borg download Seven of Nine's memories in season five's "Dark Frontier", they'll presumably learn of the existence of said pre-warp aliens, and set off to assimilate them.
