• The main page states that the film is a "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot. However I don't particularly agree. It cites that at the end of the film, when Sir Ian sees Professor Pembrooke's photos he's instantly hooked. However this ignores an important factor, when he sees the pictures he is side by side with photos of a similar creature taken by a sonar camera too deep for a homemade submarine to reach, eliminating the possibility that it could be the same hoax again. The camera was only in the position to take these pictures because it fell of the mini sub while fleeing the fake monster through a cave they only visited while investigating the hoax. It is likely that, had Pembrooke simply shown Sir Ian the photos she had without the sonar camera's photos he wouldn't have believed her and would've brushed it off as yet another fake.
