  • The "Space Lord" video is mainly a parody of Glam Rap videos - that seems kind of an odd fit for a stoner rock song, which is part of the fun, but there may actually be a connection. The typical glam rap song and its associated video is all about making the artist look wealthy, powerful, and sexually desirable, and at least some of the "Space Lord" lyrics can be read as particularly bizarre boasts about power ("When I don't take my bath, I take it out on the slaves", "I ate all the rest and now I'm gonna eat you") or sexual prowess ("I'm squeezed out in hump drive, I'm drowning in love").
  • The lyrics to "Atomic Clock" sound like pure Word Salad. However, reading interviews with Wyndorf, he states that he wrote all the songs for "Powertrip" while holed up in a hotel outside Las Vegas. He said that at night, it looked like a crater, glowing from an atomic blast. Knowing this, lyrics like "So pour some coins in my crater/I spend 'em as fast as they come" and "A greased up atomic pavillion/A great way to swallow my time" start to make more sense.
