At first glance it seems strange that Wonderland celebrates Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's Day, but that instead of Thanksgiving they have Thanks-A-Lot Day. Why have a Suspiciously Similar Substitute for one holiday but not the others? But then it dawns on you: Thanksgiving is an exclusively North American holiday, whereas Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's Day are celebrated all over the world.

If you pay attention during the "Copy Catter Hatter" song, you'll notice that the titular villain sings his part of the chorus after the Mad Hatter. Even in his own villain song, he can't help copying him!
An interpretation is that Wonderland is Alice's Happy Place where she thinks about her problems, since every episode begins and ends with Alice in her room talking with Dinah. Her walking through the mirror serves as a double purpose: Both as an allusion to "Through the looking glass", but also since Alice is doing some self-reflection.
As DefunctTV mentions in his video about the show, Alice’s clothing would always incorporate the color blue, which is the color of Alice’s dress in the animated Disney film and most other adaptations and illustrations.
