Fridge / A Deadly Game of Magic

• Fridge Horror: If one of the kids hadn't happened to know stage magic, it's pretty clear that they all would have been killed by Chamberlain one by one. But there's also the alternate scenarios to consider if there hadn't been a storm or the kids' car hadn't broken down, so that they didn't have to take shelter in the house. On the one hand, if Chamberlain had simply committed his murder and then left, when the authorities came to check on Gracie Ella's absence, they would have been left with a murder that would never be solved (no one would believe that she could have cut off her own head accidentally with a guillotine). On the other hand, what would have happened if Chamberlain had still been there the next morning, when Lonnie Whitt came to check on her neighbor...?
