- Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Izuku's suffering at the hands of Bakugou gets magnified by a ton, not to mention how he's affected by his mother's death and All Might's rejection.
- Dark Fic: Although not labeled as such, given the amount of violence and mature themes present in the fiction, it does qualify as such.
- Doorstopper: At a whopping 316,304 words and counting, this fic certainly qualifies.
- In Medias Res: Chapter 1, "Prelude", shows Izuku severing Bakugou's spine, before preparing to take the rest of Class 1-A on. And then Chapter 2 starts with him waking up.
