- Adaptation Species Change: As a result of Amity's pregnancy, her fangs grow longer and her instincts compel her to use them to mark Luz with a magical tattoo by injecting a small amount of magic. The injection causes Luz to fall ill the following morning. During her recovery Luz falls asleep, and wakes up a witch, sporting the species' trademark pointed ears and bile sac.
- Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Camila, unlike in canon, dies when Luz is four.
- Mystical Pregnancy: Amity and Luz attend a party during which Luz partakes in the provided punch. Unbeknownst to Luz, while the punch contained alocohol as she suspected it had that had also been spiked with a sex-change potion. The decision by the intoxicated Luz and Amity to sleep together results in Amity becoming pregnant.
