You are your own worst enemy.
A alteration of the [PROTOTYPE] timeline, this fic begins at the end of the first game. Having survived the nuclear blast, Alex decides to stay with his sister, making sure she's okay when she wakes up. However, the nuke's radioactive properties have weakened him and allowed him to be captured by Blackwatch. They put him into cryogenic stasis for a whole nineteen months before he breaks free. Things go downhill.
From there he discovers there's a copy of him that also reformed after the nuclear blast and started a brand new infection. It is up to Alex to get to the bottom of this and find out why.
This fic is currently in progress but has a couple of drabbles to pass the time.
