The following tropes were always worth saving:
- Adaptational Relationship Change: By standing up for herself and fending off Sophia's attack, Taylor is able to get a full explanation from Emma and save their friendship. She also earns Sophia's grudging respect.
- Armor-Piercing Response: When Sophia says that Emma fighting back against the ABB showed that she was worth protecting, Taylor retorts that Emma was always worth protecting. Sophia doesn't think much of it, but Emma is stunned.
- Bring It: When Sophia tells Taylor that she's not wanted at Emma's house, Taylor steps right up to her and invites her to say that again.
- Curb Stomp Cushion: Sophia grazes Taylor's cheek with a cheap shot from behind, but in return she's thrown over Taylor's shoulder and left puking in the grass from a knee to the stomach.
- Defeat Means Respect: Sophia doesn't instantly like Taylor after being thrown over Taylor's shoulder and then kneed in the stomach and left puking on the grass. But she becomes a lot less hostile, and wants to know where Taylor learned to do that.
