A Home For Tontu
is an Original Flavour Hilda fanfiction written by Great Raven Parade, aiming to give more of a definitive conclusion to the end of said show's first season.
In the aftermath of the Black Hound incident, Hilda tries to find her new friend a place to stay. But the citizens of Trolberg seem unwilling to trust their former house spirits... Or Hilda's word about what really happened.
This work provides examples of:
- Adaptation Expansion: The story serves to fill in the gaps within the ending of Season 1, adding in a story involving Hilda having to fight an uphill battle to convince her mother to let Tontu stay.
- Interquel: Per author's word, the story is set between the climax of the first season finale and the ending scene in it taking place afterwards.
- Darkest Hour: Chapter 9 ends on a pretty bad one; while matters pertaining to the House Fair and Jumble Sale have gone smoothly, Hilda and Johanna's relationship has been strained considerably, and Tontu is forced to leave Hilda's house for good by the end of the week — and later on, is taken away by the Safety Patrol while Hilda is helpless to do anything.
