Mooshu is a beautiful land with a rich, deep history.
Full cherry trees, carefully maintained gardens, and tall mountains can be found everywhere. Although this is a place of knowledge and tradition, there is a great mystery here.
It is home to both the honorable samoorai as well as the sneaky ninja pigs. For some time, there has been peace. Recently though, the Emperor has taken ill- and the ninja pig clans have risen again...
War Oni, Plague Oni, Death Oni, and the Jade Oni
Three terrible Helephants plague the lands of Mooshu, wearing the shells of Ninja Pig leaders. The War Oni, disguised as a Warlord known as Katsumori, wages war against Hametsu Village from the Crimson Fields. The Plague Oni has spoiled Shoshun Village's waters, and the Death Oni casts a shadow of despair over Yoshihito Temple and it's surroundings.
After slaying them all, the player finds the Jade Oni hiding within the Jade Palace, right under everyone's noses.
- Damage-Sponge Boss: The Jade Oni. You fight him alone, and he has 3x the health of the Death Oni.
- One-Winged Angel: The first three Oni are exorcised from War Pig disguises, serving as second phases to each of their boss fights.
