Jazz
Jasper "Jazz" Dent
Jasper Dent is the anti-hero main character of 'I Hunt Killers'. He often struggles with his desire to torture and kill innocent people, and works to stop the antagonists of the series, along with his close friend, Howie, and girlfriend, Connie.
- Anti-Hero: At best.
- Becoming the Mask: The plot of book three.
- The Corrupter: Connie's father believes he's this to Connie. He is also this to Howie, however, Howie doesn't seem to care.
- Dead Pan Snarker: Sometimes, he even gets in trouble for this because his humour is so dark.
- Death Glare
- Freudian Excuse: His father was the one of the worst serial killers in America; skinned his dog in front of him; taught him how to cut someone and was generally neglectful. And he's the better of the two parents.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Howie, both of whom have been close friends since childhood.
- In-Series Nickname: "Jazz".
- It's All About Me: Anytime there's a serial killer? It must be inspired by Billy Dent. Of course, most of the time, it is.
- Manipulative Bastard: Self-professed, too.
- Parental Abandonment: Considering whom his parents are, this may be for the best.
- Troubledbut Cute
