Phantom Lord Arc
- Chapter 11
- Unlike in canon, Ben is the one to stop the Jupiter Cannon blast instead of Erza. How? By transforming into Way Big and using the form's Cosmic Ray to engage the cannon's shot in a beam struggle! Awesome doesn't begin to describe it!
- Chapter 12
- Ben versus Jose. Whereas one might think Ben could steamroll Jose effortlessly, Phantom Lord's master does an excellent job at showing why he's among the Ten Wizard Saints. Jose's magic is strong enough to wound Ultimate Humungousaur and his superior speed grants him an edge against the slower Evolved Vaxasaurian. When Ben switches over to Blitzwolfer, he's able to briefly turn the tides in his favor before Jose regains the upper hand and traps the Omnitrix Hero in a Shade Entangle. If Erza hadn't arrived to rescue Ben, Jose would have won right there.
Pits of Infernus Arc
- Chapter 17
- Erza and Ben versus John Magtartus/Lavazilla. To help offset the magic draining stone, Ben transforms into Upgrade and merges with Erza's Armadura Fairy armor. The resulting enhancement allows them to make quick work of Magtartus's Godzilla ripoff in a fight that causes the entire volcano to collapse in the aftermath.
Entrapment Arc
- Chapter 29
- The Ultimate Team versus Entrapment Vilgax, reminding exactly why Ben considers the intergalactic warlord the most dangerous villain he's faced. For most of the fight, Vilgax has the Ultimate Team on the backfoot, completely no-selling every attack they throw at him. Even when Natsu, Gray, and Erza attack him in complete sync, they only do superficial damage at best.
- Following the combined assault mentioned above, Vilgax is launched into a twenty-story office building. Which he proceeds to throw at the Fairy Tail wizards. In response, Erza requips into her Purgatory Armor and (after having Gray make her a platform) slashes the office building in half! With one attack! This act completely depletes Erza's magical power and takes her out of the fight for a bit, but the pure, unadulterated badass of this is undeniable.
