Awesome / The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc

  • The taking of the English camp. Jeanne orders the solders to attack at the closed drawbridge, then has her horse jump over the defences and opens the drawbridge before the defenders realize what's going on.
  • Using the siege tower as a makeshift drawbridge. As they push the tower towards the castle facing backwards, the English soldiers mock Jeanne for not knowing how to use it. Cue Oh, Crap! when they realize what's going on as the tower is pushed into the moat, breaking the drawbridge and creating a bridge that the French soldiers can cross.
  • Gilles De Rais taking a crossbow bolt for Jeanne without her realizing, taking it out after she turns away and snapping it contemptuously.
    • Also Jean, Jeanne's friend, shooting the english sniper with a crossbow in retaliation.
  • A little bit YMMV, but the speech by the Conscience breaking down Jeanne's beliefs about the "signs"that Jeanne had seen that told her she was to lead the French(including wind) and where the sword she found as a child came from, including it being lost in a chase with soldiers, disarmed from a man in a duel or simply discarded by a deserter exhausted from the war.
