  • The entire final speech but special mention to "If I were the man I was five years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place!"
    Mr. Trask: Excuse me?
Frank Slade: No, I don't think I will.
  • Charlie, while likely to have been expelled prior to Frank's intervention, refuses to confess who set up the prank regardless. As Frank points out, nothing could persuade Charlie to sell someone out for his own future - demonstrating exactly the kind of loyalty and character the school claims it fosters.
  • Frank's tango with Donna.
  • Charlie refusing to leave Frank when he is about to kill himself and successfully talks the Colonel out of it.
  • The entire sequence when he's test-driving the Ferrari. A blind man not only handles a sports car at a definitely unsafe speed, he even manages to talk his way out of a ticket - the cop who stops him never realizes he's blind. Mythbusters would later prove that while extremely dangerous and should not be done under any circumstances, an individual who has been blind for a significant enough to time to acclimate to their blindness and let their other senses sharpen can in fact do this.
  • The influence the two men had over each other. Charlie learns to stand up for himself more and not cater always to the whims of others (especially if they're selfish, elitist jerks who wouldn't do the same for him), while Frank realizes he doesn't have to be limited by his blindness, or hide behind a jerk facade to still be the awesome Tango-dancing, Ferrari-driving colonel that he is. And that sometimes, standing by your morals is the better option even if others underestimate you.
