- Yuwen Yue's fight with the assassin. She attacks him with weapons hidden in her mouth and hair. Yuwen Yue uses his sleeve to deflect them and throw them back at her.
- Yan Xun orders Chu Qiao to make him tea in her own house. Unlike almost everyone else, Chu Qiao refuses to put up with his behaviour just because he's a prince. She calmly tells him she doesn't have any tea, and if he wants some he should go somewhere else and stop bothering her.
- Chu Qiao is captured, tied up, and surrounded by armed men who want to kill her. Within minutes she breaks free and defeats them all with her hands still tied.
- Chu Qiao fights her way through all of Yuwen Xi's guards with only a hairpin and her bare hands. Then she easily defeats Yuwen Xi and beats him to death — again with her bare hands.
