Besides comedic reactions, one of the main tenets of the h3h3 channel is Ethan (and Hila) standing up for what's right, and Ethan always makes sure to call out those in the wrong in a logical manner. Here are some examples.

  • Doing a good-natured interview with Joey Salads; a longtime target of his videos, but here he treats him fairly while giving him well deserved admonishment.
    • A follow up podcast with Joey Salads not only shows that the two of them have actually become friends, but that the both of them actually have a deep respect for one another (Ethan respects Joey for being completely self aware of himself and being honest with him, while Joey respects Ethan's ability to point out the things people do to their faces and actually reaching out to the people he does videos on). Further more, they're easily capable of having dialogue and civil disagreements with one another without major strife, and Joey behind the scenes has actually been making moves to help the Kleins with their monetization. Who would have thought?
  • Getting an interview with Ken Bone, the man who was instantly beloved and then totally vilified by false statements. Ken proves to be the nice guy everyone thought he was, and he bears no ill will toward those who sought to destroy his image.
  • Attempting to raise funds for Hugh Mungus (a victim of a radical SJW) to help pay for his medical needs.
  • Both Ethan and Hila calling out media regarding their attacks on PewDiePie following some, ahem... controversial matters.
    • Even more so when you remember this is a Jewish man standing up for someone labelled as an anti-Semite.
  • After dealing with the immense crap from Bold Guy for suing them over their video on them, Ethan confirmed that they won the lawsuit. A good day for victory!
    • Just as awesome is their video celebrating their victory, pointing out the language the Judge used in her ruling as being incredibly important in setting a precedent for fair use (like drawing a distinction between h3h3 and Jinx-style reaction videos as well as stating h3h3's video didn't provide a substitute for Bold Guy's original). Ethan also stated that, now that it was clear the material he used didn't violate fair use, he would not only be reuploading the video that prompted Bold Guy to sue them in the first place, but it would be on the main h3h3productions channel instead of Ethan and Hila. Which he proceeded to do immediately.
