Unmarked Spoilers Ahead!

It’s Fist of the North Star being given an epic cinematic treatment, what did you expect?
- The first fight between Ken and Shin where they do their iconic Air Jousting. Sure, Ken loses, but it’s no less awesome to look at!
- While it didn’t help her much until Ken arrived, Lin hitting one of the thugs hard in the head with a stick certainly qualifies given that she’s just a little girl.
- Ken arriving to save Bat and Lin is a good contender for the most badass scene in the movie. To wit:
- He somehow manages to hear the cries of a mute girl.
- He rises from the ground as some kind of earth golem.
- Destroys what’s left of a ruined city with just a few punches.
- And then, just for kicks, makes a whole skyscraper fall on his head... and he then proceeds to walk through it!
- One of the thugs even gently puts Bat down because he’s so in awe (and also scared out of his wits) by what they’re all seeing!
- As Ken approaches, the dirt that was covering starts to fall off to reveal he was wearing a hood and a cape, which makes him look even cooler with how well it’s all animated... and also grew one hell of a Badass Beard!
- The thug who was going to kill Lin then pulls out a crossbow and shoots Ken right in the chest. He doesn’t even flinch and just casually removes the arrow and throws it over his shoulder. He then lifts the thugh effortlessly by the head with one hand and crushes his skull.
- The other three, rather stupidly, try to attack Ken from the back but he takes them all out with one hit each and doesn’t even turn around. The thugs then all explode violently.
- Rei’s introduction. All of it.
- First, we’re shown a bunch of sliced-up corpses, showing that Rei already did his thing while disguised as an apparently frail woman!
- Then, when the last remaining thug uses his nunchuks to intimidate Rei by damaging his cloak, the cloak slowly reveals Rei thanks to the heavy desert wind. Coupled with Rei’s sleek theme song, it makes for one hell of a cool reveal!
- Finally, when they both charge at each other, Rei uses his Nanto Suichoken to steal the thug’s arms without him noticing! And then he just casually tosses them back at him, just for the hell of it.
