- From episode 1, Reiji's amazement upon entering the Dragon Drive arena for the first time.Reiji: (in awe) I don't get it; how could all of this be under a rundown candy store?
- Reiji and Chibi's battle against Daisuke and his dragon Kamper ends with Chibi tapping into his Magikarp Power for the first time. Chibi's tiny wings grow and he's able to fly up high enough to get in close enough for his small fire blasts to damage Kamper.
- Episode 2, Kyoji managing to defend himself (and the not-so-helpful Daisuke) against four bigger kids. He starts things off by dodging an oncoming punch, causing the boy who'd tried to hit him into hitting his friend instead. He then headbutts the boy before jumping atop his bike, and uses it as a weapon against his attackers.
- Kyoji sticking up for Reiji when Ichiro snatches Chibi's card from him. Also counts as a Heartwarming Moment for the seemingly aloof Kyoji.
Kyoji: (with a confident smirk) Give the kid his card back, and would you start acting your own age?- Chibi again managing to tap into his hidden strength to help Reiji protect Maiko and Goraoh from Ichiro and his dragon.
- Episode 5, Reiji and the newly transformed Chibi arriving in time to save Maiko, Daisuke, Goraoh and Kanpa from several virtual dragons. The pair suddenly appear out of nowhere and easily defeats the dragons.
- Episode 11, Maiko, Goraoh and the little dragon Medina Heaven. Managing to turn the tide while outnumbered during a battle and defeating the invaders threatening what's left of Medina's home.
- Episodes 33 and 34 of the anime has Maiko, Sun Wols, Ichiro and Meguru forced by a possessed Daisuke to fight dark replicas of themselves, who use their flaws to taunt them. Thanks to Maiko's determination, everyone defeats their dark halves.
- The final battle at the end of episode 38, just the fact that so many characters appear to aid in the battle with Shinryu. We've got Reiji, Maiko, and Daisuke back in the fight, Meguru, Ichiro, Kyoji, Sayaka, Hikaru, several natives of Rikyu including Rokkaku, Sun Wols, Mahiru, all their dragons, plus a surprise appearance by Hideaki.
