PP Chapter 7: An Indecent Proposal

Fluttershy returns to Ponyville, looking down on it from a hill overlooking the town, and also up at Celestia's castle, which she notes has never looked so ominous before. Fluttershy finds the warm summer day a bit of an adjustment after the cold of Nepal, even if she found the cold more bearable with her friend.

Reverting to her canonical nervousness, Fluttershy is worried about whether the other ponies will accept her now that she's a Christian. The narration notes that it will be a struggle to change her religious beliefs (a somewhat realistic observation), before going into a mini-Author Filibuster about how Christians have been persecuted throughout history, even being sent to heaven prematurely. Fluttershy knows that Applejack and Rainbow Dash won't be pleased to hear that she converted, although they didn't seem to care much for her earlier, regardless of whether she was waking them up in the middle of the night to inform them about deciding to climb one of the world's tallest mountains on the spur of the moment.

Fluttershy then turns unusually assertive, determined that those two will accept her even if she has to make them do so. She considers Spike a best friend, since he supported her the entire time she was climbing the mountain (his change of heart is not fully explained, but it happened at some point after the night at the old man's house). They share another "good news" pun before going off to tell Twilight.

Fluttershy walks through Ponyville, and now that she's seen the errors of her ways, she's determined to convert Rainbow Dash and Applejack, and end Celestia's reign of tyranny, with newfound confidence, the resilience to withstand any ridicule, and the willingness to martyr herself for the cause if need be.

Incidentally, if you've heard of the show, you may notice that there's one member of the Mane Six who has neither been shown or mentioned thus far- Rarity. By comparison, most of the other Prayer Warrior works made at least a token effort to include the entire canon main cast, even if their characterization left much to be desired on several levels.

As she walks through town with a cross around her neck, her former friends ridicule her, saying that she should die like her god, and threatening to throw her to the lions. The hecklers believe the lions will love eating Christians, which are rich in "sodalist."

Fluttershy reaches Applejack and Rainbow Dash's house- as far as I know, Applejack lives on an apple farm out of town, and I'm not sure where Rainbow Dash lives. Rainbow Dash is in the middle of proposing to Applejack on bended knee, and because it is a marriage between atheists, Fluttershy finds it offensive to God, whom she believes created marriage. Applejack hugs "Rambo" Dash, and Fluttershy is tempted to cry Tears of Joy but for the fact that she finds the sight revolting. Applejack says yes, before noticing Fluttershy and saying that she is not accepted for becoming a Christian. Rainbow Dash threatens to call the police to arrest Fluttershy if she doesn't leave, since Celestia is on his side, enabling him to do whatever he wants. Fluttershy refuses, and Applejack calls the police, smugly saying she enjoys it when the atheists win.

Next Installment: After getting bail for Fluttershy and Spike, the Prayer Ponies set out to stop the wedding.
