Seriously, I Have No Clue What This Is About.

I just heard my friend mention that Disgaea is a good game, and I've heard others make the same sentiments, so here I am. I sincerely hope I don't fail too hard.

Hey, this is by NIS. They made... I dunno.

There's a sort of intro image, and once it scrolls to the bottom, I get to the menu screen. Wow, it's bare. Time to start...

Scenery Gorn!

So, a demon King died, and his demon kingdom is full of usurpers getting all up in his old kingdom.

"Prince!" Why yes, I am ready to party like it's 1999, thank you.

Damnit, I'm not an effeminate '90s musician. Apparently I'm some dude in a coffin who won't wake up. Nice dungeon, tho. Likin' the flail.

I get woken up by a pink haired girl who points a gun at me. I like this place already...? That makes me wake up, for sure. Aaaaaand, it seems this girl very well may want to kill me, THE GREAT LAHARL!

I can really sympathize with this guy. I mean, why does it seem that everyone who tries to wake me up wants to kill me?

So this girl is pretty happy to deliver the news that King K has died. Died thirty-five minutes- er, two years ago.

I'VE SLEPT TOO LONG!!!

Ar har har. "The Netherworld has gone to hell."

So we've gots to stop some demons from taking over our throne, because we are LAHARL! Also the girl's name is Etna. Good to know. Names are nice.

"Episode 1: Prince of the Netherworld"

Well, I'll start that one later, and leave you with this introduction.

...Seriously, this LP is completely blind. I have no prior knowledge of this game.

It's not a weapon at all, it's a piece or armor that boosts you attack! A shame you couldn't get the brain as well, it's a great item for casters(Flone). The Body shouls help out a lot though, put it on you weakest, most important character(probably Flonne).

as for a new character class, you should definitely look into making a ninja if you have them. Their specialty is their ability to dodge anything. Even healing spells.

Well, I suppose there's always a New Game+ if you can't swipe everything on yout first try...

Oh, and for classes, I think you should wait until the end of Chapter 8 to make anyone new. When that time comes, I'd recommend creating a Knight. If you don't have one yet, just get a female mage and female warrior to level 10. Despite a slow movement range (you could always throw 'em), they've got good statistics for both physical and magical attack/defense, and leveling one up high enough is the requirement to unlocking an even better class.

A female mage to level 10? I think I could do that pretty cheaply with Din/Nayru/Farore (Flonne's pupil magi), and I already have Aristotle, and she's way past level 10 by now. I guess that just gives me more stuff to do in between updates!

Also, ninja? I haven't seen that on the character creation screen. I'm guessing it's another unlockable one, like the Knight and the Ronin?

Yup. I think you need a male Warrior and a male Brawler to get the ninja. They prefer fighting with fists, possess horrific amounts of Speed (meaning they'll dodge quite a lot of what you throw at them, even healing speels from your own people), and their top class has a 7 in movement range and a godly jump height.

They effectively make Brawlers virtually obsolete, and it's well worth reincarnating any ones you have into Ninja. They're roughly like Ronin are to Warriors: a bit more fragile, but with a heck of a lot more smashiness.

I'll probably have a Ninja in addition to Punchmaster, then.

Funny thing is, a single assist kill(on a level 44 again) leveled one mage from level 1 to 13.

Oh come on! You get like seven comments in one day for one installment? Augh.

Of course, you did a video game, and a moderately popular niche fandom one, so of course people are going to read it.

Yes. :P

My other Live Blog (which has decayed and fallen into the dust of despair) didn't receive nearly this many, though. So yeah, it's because I'm playing Disgaea, and blind, too.

Sorry if I sounded bitter, because I totally am.

Nah, don't worry. I'm sure if you keep on going, people will become interested.
