* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: The major issue discussed in-universe is whether Will's consciousness was truly uploaded or simply a self aware machine with his memories trying to enslave the planet to it's purpose. The notion it may have been him at first, but simply evolved so far beyond being human that it no longer matters, is also brought up. Ultimately it's revealed .

* EpilepticTrees: the community has a large number of theories (a number rather wild, despite the the developer saying that no convoluted UsefulNotes/ConspiracyTheories would ever be used in the plot) regarding the nature of Domina's mission for the player)

WAI is Flame Bait. Scrappy is about hate for story reasons not gameplay and only applies to individuals not groups.

* TheScrappy: The Luminous, who have abysmal loot yet are some of the most common late-game enemies, the Ventari with their device-damaging weapons, and the Pteravores who can bypass shields and drain your fuel all fit this trope very well. The uselessness of Autons prior to the RC versions also qualifies.
** Also the Salvager Nomads, who have a lovely habit of wandering around the system picking up any loose items. Overloaded and need to come back to loot a defeated enemy later? Need to temporarily stash some contraband while you check into a commonwealth station? Better hope that a Salvager doesn't pass by and take all your stuff. This is only significant because they are tagged as "friendly" and so, to recover anything they've grabbed, you have to attack a friendly vessel.
*** However, nobody cares if you kill them. The hard part is hunting them down.
** RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: In TX2, the Luminous are removed from their status as scrappies, along with the Autons. Version 1.05 of Transcendence also changes the Ventari weapons to cause 'ionisation', which will fix itself after a short time.

** While discussing Shakespeare with Adelina and Caren, Ichigo begins reciting the playwright's romantic poetry. He doesn't quote one or two lines mind you, he recites an entire paragraph. With zero provocation. It is every bit as unintentionally hilarious as it sounds.
* WhatAnIdiot:
** After Shandris watches Ichigo use a massive Getsuga Tensho to save her and the rest of Feathermoon Stronghold from the Hatecrest naga, she becomes determined to find out exactly what he is. Instead of simply asking the powerful entity that willingly helped her people for answers, she decides to have her sentinels point point weapons in his face and threaten to kill him unless he explains himself. Bear in mind, she does this after seeing what he's capable of.
** Ichigo's summoning grants him the ability to understand and speak fluent Common, which he defaults to whenever he talks. It somehow takes Adelina pointing this out weeks later before Ichigo even realizes he hasn't been speaking his native language all this time.
** When leading Alliance forces into Dire Maul to fight Abraxus and his demons, Shandris comes across a contingent of warriors from the Horde, who are there for the same reason as them. Shandris goes out of her way to antagonize them ,nearly Instigating a fight, all while willfully ignoring the fact that a skirmish with the Horde would cost her time and soldiers she desperately needs to take on Abraxus's army, which all of her lieutenants point out beforehand. Making it even worse is that the leader of the Horde forces understands that they can't afford to fight each other and tries to defuse the situation. Shandris just continues poking him with the proverbial stick anyway.
** During the fight with Mildreas, Caren makes her way to the Obelisk of Elune while the Highborne noble is distracted in order to reprogram the device and keep it from indiscriminately killing everything in the Desolace. Immediately after accomplishing this, she gets Mildreas's attention and brags about what she just did, while standing alone, far away from any of her comrades. Mildreas, who by this point has established that he's capable of overpowering Ichigo, someone who is far stronger than Caren, simply flash steps over to her and cuts her down before anyone can react.

* MagnificentBitch: Codexia successfully convinces the Highborne to secure an artifact that will help them relocate to Ethel Rethor, freeing a band of orcish blademasters from warlock control along the way. Freeing the orcs proves to be vital to her plan, as she anticipated that they would seek to join the Horde, tipping off both the Horde and the Alliance to the existence of the Highborne. Then, with the eyes of the two most powerful factions on Azeroth on them, the Highborne would be forced to give up arcane magic and turn to primalism to survive, which was Codexia’s endgame. Unfortunately for her, Codexia horribly underestimates how far the Highborne are willing to go to feed their arcane addiction and lust for power, and she winds up being manipulated by the Highborne nobles instead as a result.
