* Narm: Some stunts in sixth movie are hilariously over the top, even for this franchise. [[spoiler: It's hard to hold laughter when Dom crashes his car on the one side of the bridge so he can propel himself into the air to catch Letty, who just fell form the tank that flipped over. Not only Dom grabs Letty in mid-air but manages to change her trajectory so they both land on some car that just happened to be there. Of course neither of them are hurt.]]

* WhatAnIdiot: Okay, Sean is a massive douchebag, in that he openly tries to antagonise people, but his love interest is also one, due to not getting that DK is the jealous type. Does the guy need a flashing neon sign saying "DON'T COME NEAR MY GIRL" for her to get it?

Did Not Do The Research has been perma-redlinked.

* DidNotDoTheResearch: Considering they had a specialist consultant to ensure realism, the first film has some pretty outlandish claims about the parts on the cars.
** Nitrous oxide would not explode as it does in the Eclipse. Or Dom's Chevelle in the fourth movie.
** The Evo VIIs donated by Mitsubihi in ''2 Fast'' were actually just prototype U.S. market Evo VIIIs with off-the-shelf VII parts. Mitsubishi had yet to announce the launch of the Evo stateside, so they made the production team dress them up - as a Japan market-only model.
** Nitrous is used wrong in practically all of the movies except ''Fast Five''; unless you had large, visible wiring looms sticking out, it'd be impossible to fire nitrous from a simple press of a button on your steering wheel.

* LoveItOrHateIt: Most import tuning fans hate the movies, mainly because they spawned the "ricer" subculture. ''Tokyo Drift'' is especially hated for the on-screen sacrilege of powering a Mustang with an [=RB26=] ''and then'' using a regular 351cid Windsor V8 Mustang for the actual stunts. They tried to get away from this in ''Fast Five''; Paul Walker said in an interview that they realized the "cars had become the stars" and the fifth movie concentrated more on the characters than showing off shiny vehicles.
